A LinkedIn profile isn’t a resume yet
LinkedIn is written for being found: a headline, a list of titles, maybe a sentence per role. A resume is written for a specific reader deciding whether to call you, and it needs what LinkedIn usually lacks — what you achieved in each role, with numbers, and in the terms of the job you want.
So the import is the starting point. Once your history is in, the AI goes through it with you, asking about each role until there’s enough to write real bullets. Then you can tailor the resume to each job description you apply for.
What gets imported
- Profile: name, headline and summary.
- Positions: company, title, dates, location and description.
- Education: school, degree and dates.
- Skills, certifications and projects.
Anything in the export you don’t want on a resume can be dropped during review.
